Previously she was Deputy Director General of International Finance Operations at Banco Santander Central Hispano (1999-2000), Banco Central Hispano (1991-1999) and Banco Hispano (1987-1991). Member of the Social and Economic Committee of the European Union, representing the public sector (1986-1988), responsible for relations with the EU in the Instituto Nacional de Industria (INI), Ministry of Industry (1985-1987, member of the board of directors of several industrial enterprises of the INI group, and COFIDES (official development financial institution in Spain) and Cesc.
